Positive Behavior Level System

Positive Behavior Level System

The Positive Behavior Level System is designed to encourage collaboration among students, parents, and staff to solve problems causing concerning behaviors. It provides students, parents, and school staff with clear indicators of expectations in respectfulness, ownership, accountability, and regulation. Daily points sheets are used based on these expectations  to move up the levels. The level system is based on five levels of functioning within the school setting. Upon successful completion of requirements for a level the student can then progress to the next level.

Behavior Level System Procedure

Students will participate in the Positive Behavior Level System and will receive a Daily Interaction (points) Sheet. Each student will enter at Level 1 upon entry of the school and move through the levels until reaching Level 5. Daily points begin when the student enters campus each day and end upon leaving campus each day. Daily points are calculated by adding points earned during each period.
